Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6 and 7, and the deal pages are a firehose. Most of what's on them is stuff you never planned to buy, marked down from a list price nobody pays. This page works the other way around: it starts from the gear, grooming, and fitness products we've already reviewed and recommended, then filters down to the ones that are actually on sale.
How to Tell a Real Deal in Ten Seconds
The strikethrough "List Price" on Amazon is a reference number, not proof of a discount. Some items sit below their list price all year. The better check is built into the product page now: look for the Price history link just under the price. It shows how the price has moved over the past year. If today's price is at or near the bottom of that chart, it's a genuine deal. If the item sold for the same price last month, it's a normal price wearing a sale badge.
Buy things you were already going to buy, and stock up on consumables you use every day. Skip anything you're only considering because of the badge. A deal on something you didn't need is still money spent.

Amazon's October sale runs Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7, 2026. It's Prime-members-only, and Amazon releases new limited-time deals throughout both days, so a product that isn't discounted in the morning can be by the afternoon.
Ignore the List Price strikethrough and open the Price history link under the price on the product page. If today's price is at or near the lowest point of the past year, it's a real deal. If the item sold for the same price last month, the discount is mostly a high reference price.
Deal prices change several times a day during the event, and a static number on this page would be wrong within hours. Every link goes straight to the live Amazon listing so you always see today's actual price before you buy.
Often, yes. Amazon tends to repeat many October discounts around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If something here isn't urgent, it's reasonable to wait, check the price history, and buy whichever event gets lower.
